Finding & Getting a Job

paul whitty a“I am pleased with the progress I have made during the time spent on the course
through Capital Training. I have learned how to present my CV to an employer and how to write an effective cover letter to accompany it. I could not have achieved this without the help from my Tutor

Thank-You! Tydfil Training

I have enjoyed myself at Tydfil Training a lot.  The staff have been a great help and full of support in gettingWAG me four certificates within the last 3 months of being there. I have got ECDL 1 & 2, a First Aid Certificate and a Health & Safety Certificate, the most I’ve ever got in such a short time on any course I’ve ever been on. The other colleagues/friends there have helped and supported each other a lot. It’s been a very good atmosphere to do training in, as there is a good feel about the place with loads of encouragement. A big difference to other training providers I’ve been with.

Thanks for all your support!

I would like to thank you and all your staff at Tydfil Training for all the support and training that you have provided during my time with you.  Staff are very friendly, helpful and informative and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with you.

New ESF Logo websiteI have attended other courses with different providers but none have been as efficient as Tydfil Training, providing me with help and support to gain qualifications in IT (ECDL Level 1 and 2) and  I’ve also gained certificates in Health & Safety and First Aid in the Workplace.

I feel that I now have a better chance of finding a place in the workforce due to all the help and support I have been given, so thank you Tydfil Training for giving me that chance!

I now feel “Work Ready”

I have come to the end of a 15 week training programme at Tydfil Training that included a 6 week “Work New ESF Logo websiteReady” Programme where I was given amazing help to make my CV look smart and professional. Since my tutor’s help, I have had at least one reply a week which is a huge change to one a month, plus two interviews, where my last interview was two years ago. During the first 6 weeks I also obtained both Level 2 Health & Safety and Level 2 First-Aid at Work qualifications which has really given a boost to my CV.

After the first 6 weeks, I was offered the chance to move onto an ECDL qualification where my tutor helped me greatly in achieving both Level 1 and Level 2. This is exactly what I needed to help me enter the Admin industry.

I have been a customer of TTC twice before in the past and have to say, no other training provider gives you as much help as them. The entire staff at the centre are very very friendly.

Other providers I have attended had a strict attitude towards clients and it always felt like you were just a number for them. This is not the case at TTC at all.

I would like to thank everyone for their kind help and making me feel welcome. I feel I now have the right skills and attitude to get me into work.

Well Done Corrina! from Rehab Job-Fit

I have been unemployed for over a year with no success as to finding a job, when I was referred to Tydfil Training as part of the Rehab Job-Fit Work Programme. I was really low in mood and had lost confidence within myself due to never being out of work and was really struggling to find employment. I was sent correspondence to attend an induction, then on arrival, I was greeted at reception and immediately felt the warmth and passion behind Tydfil Training. I was soon on the road to gaining employment, at last!Corinna Bartlett 4

I had fortnightly meetings to discuss my job searches and to help me with any queries that I may have had and felt my confidence returning. I had just left Tydfil Training to make my appointment with Job Centre Plus and whilst I was waiting there, I had a phone call from the Employment Liaison Officer to go back to the office because he had a job which he thought was suitable for me and wanted me to apply for. I arrived back at Tydfil Training and they had already arranged for me to receive an application form and booked me a slot at the company’s open day. I filled in the application form and took it with me to my appointment. I had two interviews with the company and a few days later, I had a phone call to say that I had been successful and had got the job; I was over the moon!

I took my letter of confirmation to Tydfil Training a few days later, because I was so proud of myself and was excited to tell them all in the office, they were so happy for me and I will never forget what they have all done for me. I have also had financial help from Job-Fit to get my car back on the road due to my position being driver essential. I am so grateful to all the staff, especially the Employment Liaison Officer because without him I would never have got this job and the Job-Fit team in Swansea for their assistance.

A message from a Capital Training customer

capital trainingDear Lesley,

Just to let you know I went for a job interview today, but before I can accept the position they have offered me, I have to do a full week of training so unfortunately I will not be able to attend your final day of course work that you have done with me.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your hard work and for all the help you have given me it was very much appreciated.

Kind regards

Customer “Employed” after one week with Tydfil Training

We are delighted to announce that a new customer of ours Christan Thomas has now gained employment as a welder after being with us for only one week on the Rehab Job-Fit Work Programme at our Pontypridd Training Centre. Christan was introduced to our Employment Liaison Officer who identified his trade and then matched him to a local employer to arrange an interview and test weld. Well Done Christan!
